To start our 34th Anniversary Celebration we have 2 (yes TWO!) contests available for you.
The younger crowd can have their chance at naming the new Friends we will be adding to our website soon. All of the rules are on the entry form shown here. Feel free to print one (or more) off to enter.
The older (slightly 
) crowd has the opportunity to do some creative things with the Friends Terri has created specifically for The Mercantile. Again, the rules are on the entry form.

On Friday, July 1, 2022 we will begin opening at 10:30 AM Tuesday through Friday. Our closing time will remain at 5:00 PM. Our Saturday hours will stay 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We will remain closed on both Sunday & Monday.
We are finished with our inventory and are back open our regular hours.
Terri will be going to Market next weekend to find all sorts of new and wonderful things for the store (our friend Suzanne will be helping Cindy in the store).
We hope to get our classes back onto the calendar the end of January or beginning of February.
Thank you all for being a part of our lives, we appreciate every one of you.
We are in our busiest season of the year for shoppers.
Classes are still on our minds and in our hearts, but we cannot schedule anything new until late January. Once Christmas is done, we have Inventory and Terri will be going to Market in mid-January.
Thank you for understanding that we need our few minutes/hours of down-time to refresh ourselves for the next day.

Starting Thanksgiving week, The Mercantile will be open Tuesday – Thursday from 11 – 5, Friday from 11 – 8, and Saturday from 10 – 8. This is in conjunction with the Pendleton Christkindlmarkt that will be out on the village green Friday and Saturday evenings for the first 3 weekends after Thanksgiving. The last weekend prior to Christmas, our closing hour will return to 5:00. Christmas Eve we will close at 4:00. We will be closed Christmas day and re-open Tuesday, December 28. We will close at 3:00 New Years Eve and, after doing inventory, we will re-open Friday, January 7, 2022.
Starting tomorrow, October 23, 2021, we will open at 10:00 AM on Saturdays, closing at 5:00 PM. Tuesdays through Fridays we will remain opening at 11:00 AM and closing at 5:00 PM.

You cannot vote on our creation because we are entered in the Masters Division. The theme this year for the Masters (and anyone else who wishes to follow it) is a salute to our sister city Stornoway, Scotland.

The latest Boredom Buster kit is our Butterfly Circle. This comes in an assortment of colors and the prints of the paper may vary as stock comes and goes. It includes two Greeting Panels so the usability of the card is broad.
As usual, $3.00/kit with complete instructions. Each kit makes one card.

The Z-Fold Multi-Occasion Card Kit has arrived in the store! It took a bit of work to finally get these completed for the kits. (Forgetting something at home or at work delayed progress.)
Each kit makes one complete card, but there are 4 greeting panels included so that card can be made for almost any occasion. There are a variety of card colors to choose from. The photo shows what are available as of today. The colors may change as time goes on, depending on the popularity and the paper supplies on hand.
As with all of our other #BoredomBuster kits, complete instructions are included. Each person gets to color the art panel however they wish. The flowers on the sample card have a touch of glitter added to the centers.

4/27/2021 – Mother’s/Father’s Day Card Kits – available starting today.
Simple kits to show Mom and Dad you are thinking of them on their special day. (These can be used for any special day in their honor.)
The kits come in a variety of color combinations. Complete instructions included. $3.00 per kit, 1 card per kit (either “Mom” or “Dad”).
