Although we do not carry open stock of beading supplies or rubberstamping supplies, we are available to schedule small (1 – 4 people) A-La-Carte classes preferably starting in the mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays before we open for business. Please contact us if you are interested.
We prepare our class and events by request. If there is something you would like to learn, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request, either in the form of one of our previous sessions or through other arrangements. Scrolling back through the class schedule will show some of the classes we have done in the past. **At the moment, our calendar is not functioning in a way that we can add anything new. Please check the “News” page for any classes or events. Thank you for your patience. **
Crafting A-La-Carte is available Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day (mornings 9-11 & afternoons 1-3, we are flexible about those times). The time is available for class but nothing is scheduled until someone reserves the time. The first person to reserve the time chooses what the class will be. We need a minimum of 24 hours notice so we can prepare (some classes require 48 hours to prepare materials). Most classes are available (dependent upon materials availability).
One time of the year that it is difficult to schedule specific Saturday classes is football season. Pendleton is in such close proximity to Clemson that our traffic flow is greatly affected at certain times of the day on home game Saturdays. And our students, who many of which are also fans, are not always able to attend. We therefore schedule a variety of A-La-Carte and Open Studio times instead for those who wish to work around football.
Beaded Lantern Earrings – 2 hours – Cindy Earl Higgins – $18
Several years ago (10 – 15 years!) a friend showed me a pair of earrings she purchased at a craft show in North Carolina. The image of these has stayed with me all this time and I decided to recreate the feel of it as best I could. I have no idea who to credit for the inspiration but the pattern is my own interpretation of a more complicated pattern that was stored in my memory all those years ago.
Clay Animals – 3 hours – Cindy Earl Higgins – $20
We will get our hands dirty and have lots of fun creating ceramic clay animals out of a wonderful speckled buff colored clay. Once they are dry enough (a couple of weeks drying time) Cindy will fire them and further decoration may be added with colors if desired.
Wire Angels – 2 hours – Cindy Earl Higgins – $20
Create a delicate filigree angel with wire. If you have favorite wire-working tools, feel free to bring them with you.
Metalwork Key Fob or Pendant – 2 hours – Terri Earl Brooks – $20.00
This class will use basic metalworking techniques to create a one-of-a-kind key fob or pendant.
If you want to come in and work on some of your Un-Finished Objects, we have the space. Beading, Rubber Stamping, Mixed Media… all are welcome.
If you wish to use our tools a $5.00 bench fee applies, free otherwise (plus the cost of any of our supplies you might need to complete your project).
Christmas Bracelet – 2 hours – Terri Earl Brooks – $30
Terri has her design hat on again and is conjuring up another fabulous Christmas bracelet design.
Clay Pumpkins – 3 hours – Cindy Earl Higgins – $20
Get your hands dirty and create some fun small-sized clay pumpkins that can be used for decorations in a home or office. These pumpkins will be allowed to dry for up to 2 weeks (depending on the humidity in the area) before firing the first time. Then, Cindy will glaze them in the chosen glaze and they will be fired again and ready for pick-up.
Fired sample will be shared as soon as it is finished and fired glaze samples will be available to pick from the day of class.
