Although we do not carry open stock of beading supplies or rubberstamping supplies, we are available to schedule small (1 – 4 people) A-La-Carte classes preferably starting in the mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays before we open for business. Please contact us if you are interested.
We prepare our class and events by request. If there is something you would like to learn, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request, either in the form of one of our previous sessions or through other arrangements. Scrolling back through the class schedule will show some of the classes we have done in the past. **At the moment, our calendar is not functioning in a way that we can add anything new. Crafting A-La-Carte is available Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day (mornings 9-11 & afternoons 1-3, we are flexible about those times). The time is available for class but nothing is scheduled until someone reserves the time. The first person to reserve the time chooses what the class will be. We need a minimum of 24 hours notice so we can prepare (some classes require 48 hours to prepare materials). Most classes are available (dependent upon materials availability).
One time of the year that it is difficult to schedule specific Saturday classes is football season. Pendleton is in such close proximity to Clemson that our traffic flow is greatly affected at certain times of the day on home game Saturdays. And our students, who many of which are also fans, are not always able to attend. We therefore schedule a variety of A-La-Carte and Open Studio times instead for those who wish to work around football.
Cards for Mother’s & Father’s Day – 2 hours – Terri Earl Brooks – $20.00
As usual, Terri has some wonderful designs for cards to gift to the special parents in our lives, whether our own, or not.
Beaded Boondoggle – 2 hours – Terri Earl Brooks – $18.00
Think back to those summer days, possibly at camp, creating boondoggle. This uses the same knot, adds beads and uses an alternative to the colorful plastic laces.
Movers and Shakers – 2 hours – Cindy Earl Higgins – $20
A fun-filled class with cards that move and cards that are shakers.
If you want to come in and work on some of your Un-Finished Objects, we have the space. Beading, Rubber Stamping, Mixed Media… all are welcome.

Game On – 2 hours – $15/student – for ages 6 – 9
This is the first in a series of 6 classes we are offering this Summer. Sign up for one, or sign up for all, which ever fits your Summer schedule.
Students will be crafting and creating their own tic-tac-toe game and pieces using polymer clay and matte board! They will also enjoy some time “gaming” it up with The Mercantile’s most popular games while their pieces are in the oven.

When registering for Game On, you can pay an extra $5 to add on a take home activity kit! This week you can color, cut, and assemble your very own matching game! Choose from Donuts or Popsicles! Create a fun quiet time activity that is great for any age range.

Create 4 special cards for those very special occasions.
We will not be folding flowers, in case you were wondering… although some of the designs may be of flowers.
Learn the technique of folding papers to create wonderful designs. All four (and a bonus 5th!) designs are brand new. Pictured are the June cards.
Spiral Rope – 2 hours – Terri Earl Brooks – $18.00
Learn this simple beadweaving stitch and create beautiful spiraling strands of color.
Paper Folding – 2 hours – Cindy Earl Higgins – $18
This fun class will feature some basic folding techniques in Origami, Tea Bag Folding and possibly Iris folding plus maybe some others… a class suitable for beginners.
