Although we do not carry open stock of beading supplies or rubberstamping supplies, we are available to schedule small (1 – 4 people) A-La-Carte classes preferably starting in the mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays before we open for business. Please contact us if you are interested.
We prepare our class and events by request. If there is something you would like to learn, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request, either in the form of one of our previous sessions or through other arrangements. Scrolling back through the class schedule will show some of the classes we have done in the past. **At the moment, our calendar is not functioning in a way that we can add anything new. Crafting A-La-Carte is available Tuesdays and Thursdays during the day (mornings 9-11 & afternoons 1-3, we are flexible about those times). The time is available for class but nothing is scheduled until someone reserves the time. The first person to reserve the time chooses what the class will be. We need a minimum of 24 hours notice so we can prepare (some classes require 48 hours to prepare materials). Most classes are available (dependent upon materials availability).
One time of the year that it is difficult to schedule specific Saturday classes is football season. Pendleton is in such close proximity to Clemson that our traffic flow is greatly affected at certain times of the day on home game Saturdays. And our students, who many of which are also fans, are not always able to attend. We therefore schedule a variety of A-La-Carte and Open Studio times instead for those who wish to work around football.

Christmas Iris Folding – Cindy Earl Higgins – 2 hours – $20.00
We will not be folding flowers, in case you were wondering…
Learn the technique of folding papers to create wonderful designs. All of the designs will have an Christmas design or color theme (ALL new original designs will be introduced!)
We have some fun things planned for this day-long in-store event! (Ho Ho Ho!)
We will have some Christmas merchandise out for people to start buying early. We have ornaments and boxed cards and more… we will also have some refreshments for sampling. Come on in and spend some time in the air-conditioned comfort of The Mercantile!

Die Cut Card Class – 2 hours – Terri Earl Brooks – $20.00
Terri has again created some beautiful die cut cards. All materials are included in the cost of the class, and all shapes will be pre-cut to ensure ample time to finish the cards in class. (If requested, a demo of how to cut the dies will be done.)

We will be hosting Dyar’s Diner at The Mercantile again and are looking forward to a fun evening!
Our feature of the evening is a book signing! Catherine Garrison Davis and Elizabeth Garrison Rasor will join us to autograph their Night-Night Little Tiger book. You can either bring one you already have or buy one that evening.
We will also have some samplings of some of our gourmet foods and mixes. Dyar’s will most probably be sampling some of their delicious desserts as well.

These fun paper spheres are a design based on the Celtic Trinity Knot. Fun for placing in a basket or bowl on the table or hanging from a tree. Much easier than they appear!
